Asian Hornet Trap – Bee-Friendly (80mm Jar)

Made this to deal with Asian hornets without wiping out all the other insects.

It screws onto a standard 80mm honey jar and uses a simple selective design so small insects can get out, while hornets can’t.

💡 Tips & Use

• Best time to use: early spring (to catch queens) and late summer/autumn when activity peaks
• Bait idea: beer + sugar + white wine works great (attracts hornets, less interest for bees)
• Placement: near hives or areas where you’ve seen hornet activity, but not right at the entrance. Optimal height is 1m
• Check regularly: empty and refresh bait every few days for best results
• Pro tip: hang it slightly off the ground for better catch rates
