Orbeez in a lamp! Who knew it would create such a cool affect. I would like to introduce the first orby lamp ever published on Maker world. This model works great as a kids night light. These fun round objects are called by many names, orbeez, water beads, gel bbs. They are commonly used in shooting each other, as a sensory toy, and hot/cold therapy packs. But I used them as a light diffuser. 

For the orbeez pick the color you want. I would recommend ones that are compatible with gel guns 7.5mm. Glow in the dark orbeez would also be great and would glow after the light would be turned off. Here is a picture of the one I used.

Once you finished growing them, dry the extra water on the beads.

To prevent water from breaking the lamp, cut the closing end off a snack bag and wrap the lamp kit in it.

Warning. 

Orbeez are a choking hazard do not eat.

If dried orbeez are consumed they will expand and can clog the digestive track.
