Greenhouse Wire & Twine Hanger for 7 mm Aluminum Rail Gap

A simple 3-part hanging solution for guiding or suspending wire, string, plant support twine, or thin cable inside a greenhouse.

The design is made to fit greenhouse aluminum profiles with an approximately 7 mm rail gap. The hanger locks into the aluminum track using a printed screw and locking nut, while the separate sleeve holder guides the wire or twine cleanly through the part.

This is useful for plant support lines, training wires, tomato strings, cucumber supports, light-duty hanging, or general greenhouse cable management.

Printing Recommendation

For best strength and outdoor/greenhouse durability, print in PETG.

Recommended orientation:
Print the parts lying flat for better strength, especially the screw and sleeve holder. This gives the part better resistance against snapping compared to printing it upright.

PLA may work for light indoor use, but PETG is preferred because greenhouses can get hot and humid.

Assembly

1. Insert the screw into the aluminum rail gap.
2. Rotate it into the correct locking position.
3. Use the printed nut to lock it in place.
4. Mount the wire/twine guide sleeve holder.
5. Thread the wire, string, or twine through the sleeve.
6. Adjust the position and tighten as needed.

Notes

This is intended for light to medium greenhouse use. Do not overload the part with heavy hanging objects. Strength depends on material, print orientation, infill, wall count, layer adhesion, and the exact shape of your greenhouse rail.
