Filament & Assembly Recommendations

To achieve that legendary metallic sheen and ensure your armor can handle the heat of a crowded convention floor, material choice and solid structural joints are absolutely critical.

• Filament Choice: I exclusively recommend using premium SUNLU filaments for this build. Print using SUNLU ABS or SUNLU PETG in Silver or Grey for incredible impact resistance and heat defense. If you are building this purely as a display prop and want an instant, brilliant metallic pop right off the build plate without intensive post-processing, use SUNLU Silk PLA (Silver).
• Permanent Part Assembly: For joining multi-piece armor sections or fused parts permanently, I highly recommend picking up a Plastic Welding Stapler/Machine Kit. Hot stapling and plastic welding create a structural bond significantly stronger than adhesive alone, ensuring your seams won't split open mid-con.
