Parametric 3-Layer Keychain Generator
Design highly customizable, multicolor keychains directly in your browser. This generator builds keychains using a stacked 3-layer architecture, allowing you to mix text, emojis, geometric patterns, and custom footprints without touching any code.
Designed specifically for easy multicolor printing, each logical layer maps cleanly to different Z-heights for simple filament swapping or AMS assignment.
Customization does not work with Bambu Handy mobile app. You must use the MakerWorld website.
How the Layer System Works
The model generates from the bottom up in three distinct stages:
- Base Layer: The solid foundation defining the overall shape (Rectangle or contoured Glyph Outline) and the outer perimeter border.
- Pattern Layer: An optional textured or cut-out mid-layer containing geometric patterns (hexagons, grids, chevrons, etc.).
- Content Layer: The top layer containing your primary text and optional left/right emojis.
Parameter Reference Guide
1. Content Layer (Text & Emojis)
Controls the primary visual elements sitting on the top layer.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Primary Text | The main word or phrase. Leave blank to generate an emoji-only keychain. |
| Font Name & Weight | Choose from over 60 supported Google Fonts and toggle between Bold or Regular weights. |
| Font Size | The height of the text in millimeters. |
| Left / Right Emoji | Paste a single emoji character into these fields to flank your text. Leave blank to disable. |
| Emoji Size | The height of the emoji in millimeters. |
| Emoji Spacing | The horizontal gap (in mm) between the text and the emojis. |
| Content Height | The Z-axis thickness of the text and emojis. |
| Color Settings | Hex codes used for previewing the Text and Emojis in the customizer. |
2. Pattern Layer
Controls the textured mid-layer.

|---|---|
| Pattern Type | The geometric style (Hex, Crisscross, Grid, Chevron, Diamonds, Dots). Select "None" to disable this layer entirely. |
| Pattern Height | The Z-axis thickness of the pattern layer. |
| Pattern Color | Hex code used for previewing the pattern in the customizer. |
3. Base Layer (Footprint)
Controls the underlying shape and structural border.

| Keychain Shape | Rectangle: A standard bounding box. Glyph Outline: A custom contour that tightly wraps your specific text/emoji combination. |
| Outline Distance |
(Glyph Outline only) How far (in mm) the base expands outward from the edges of your text and emojis. |
| Rect Width/Height Adjust |
(Rectangle only) Add or subtract millimeters to manually tweak the bounding box size. |
| Corner Radius | (Rectangle only) Rounds the outer corners. Set to 0 for sharp edges. |
| Border Thickness | Creates a solid raised wall around the entire perimeter of the keychain. Set to 0 to disable. |
| Base Height | The Z-axis thickness of the solid bottom layer. |
| Outline Color | Hex code used for previewing the base and border. |
4. Loop Attachment
Controls the keyring attachment point.
| Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
| Loop Diameter | Outer diameter of the ring. Set to 0 to remove the loop completely. |
| Loop Side | Attaches the loop to the Top, Left, or Right edge of the keychain. |
| Loop Offset | Nudge the loop position. Positive values move it further away from the keychain; negative values pull it inward for a stronger overlapping bond. |
Slicing & Printing Strategy
- Multicolor without an AMS: Because the text, pattern, and base are separated by Z-height, you can achieve a multi-color print simply by adding pauses/color-swaps at the specific layer heights in your slicer.
- Line Widths: If using smaller fonts or intricate emojis, ensure your slicer's line width is set appropriately (e.g., Arachne wall generator is recommended) so fine details are not omitted.
