DIY electronic hit indicator for steel targets using an MPU6050 accelerometer, XIAO RP2040, MOSFET-switched LED row, and 3×AA battery power.

The main enclosure mounts behind the steel gong while a narrow vertical LED face sticks out from the side for improved visibility.

The MPU6050 detects vibration from target impacts and triggers a flashing LED row. Sensitivity is adjustable using a standard B10K potentiometer.

The enclosure is designed so the main body stays protected behind the steel target while only the LED face remains visible.
