Support-Free Printable Hinge

A practical fully functional 3D printable hinge, designed for easy support-free printing, smooth operation, and a wide motion range of up to 270°.

The model consists of 3 separate parts, and that design choice is intentional. This allows all critical components to be printed in their optimal orientation — especially the circular/oval hinge elements, which are printed vertically to avoid problematic internal bridging that could interfere with movement or require extra cleanup.

The result is a clean support-free print, smooth movement, and easy assembly.

Important Printing Note

⚠️ This model is intentionally designed without a brim, to keep the print clean and avoid unnecessary post-processing.

I had no adhesion issues on a clean textured build plate, but if your printer sometimes struggles with smaller parts sticking properly, I recommend:

✨ thoroughly cleaning your build plate
✨ using 3D print adhesive / glue stick / other adhesion aid
✨ adding a brim manually in your slicer if needed
