Gridfinity Bin Module Storage Riser

This is a Gridfinity bin that also can act as a matched height riser for my all-in-one mini paints racks. 

It's got indexing tabs to help align whatever you put on top of it, with enough magnets to keep things in place. 

I have a 2x4GFU and a 2x6GFU variant (long enough for brushes etc). Each riser adds about ~30mm in heigh to the next bin or object nested on top of it, with an extra lip and midpoint notch for extra stability.

There's nothing groundbreaking with this design- so use your favorite parametric Gridfinity bin builder if you already have stacking bins in a style you prefer. If you make them ~30-35mm tall, it will do a good job aligning additional rows of my all-in-one mini paints rack module with other racks in front of it. This model is a premade and easy way for users who just want something they know works, fast.

This model is part of my collection of 3D printed mini painting stuff, Paintfinity. 

For all of my models in this collection, P1S and A1MINI sized prebuilt profiles are provided. No supports are used on anything in the collection, and it's been optimized for a 0.4mm nozzle with tuned wall thicknesses throughout.

I use 2 walls, 0.2mm height, 10% grid infill print settings for my included plate profiles. Lower infill percent with Gyroid or Lightning also work, but grid at 10% seems to always give me a great top surface quality for a little extra material+time.

Paint-fini-what?

Paintfinity is my solo run passion project with the goal of making miniature painting more accessible, efficient, and ergonomic. I try to design models that work together to solve as many common pain points as possible. I've commission painted full time for the last 10 years, with an emphasis on large projects and armies. I've learned that there are a lot of small things that add up to a much smoother experience with these type of projects. These small optimizations can trickle down to benefit everything else you paint too!

I built my models around the standard 42mm Gridfinity unit with pockets for 6x2mm magnets. I made smooth-bottom NOGRID variants too! Gridfinity is an open source system originally created by Zach Freedman, make sure to check out Zach's other work!

As of May 2026, Paintfinity currently has:

61 Unique Models and 48 Variants for a total of 109 individual modeled objects!
