Hello makers and MakerWorld explorers!
What you’re looking at is a minimalist playing card storage box designed for UNO cards, poker cards, and many other card decks.
I created this project with a clean and functional design philosophy, trying to satisfy several important requirements.
The entire mechanism is fully 3D printable so there are no screws, magnets, or glue that are required. With a single motion the box can be opened, while the closing system is probably the most interesting part of the design.
It works similarly to a snap-fit mechanism: simply press the lid and it locks into place. However, unlike traditional snap-fit designs, this mechanism does not wear out over time because there are no important parts rubbing against each other during use.
The project currently includes 3 main design variations:
- A themed UNO-style version
- A clean version without logos
- A textured version inspired by classic French playing cards
There are also 2 different sizes available:
- Small version for UNO cards — internal dimensions: 58 × 39 × 90 mm
- Large version — internal dimensions: 67 × 47 × 90 mm
The model is easy to print and designed to be both practical and satisfying to use.
