Create custom hardware covers, knobs, feet, and shaft adapters directly in the MakerWorld Customizer.
This is a fully parametric OpenSCAD hardware system designed for metric nuts, bolt heads, acorn nuts, motor shafts, and potentiometer shafts. Choose your hardware size, select the part style, tune the tolerance, and generate the exact part you need.
Perfect for furniture feet, exposed bolt covers, machine knobs, electronics projects, tool handles, jigs, fixtures, and workshop repairs.

✅ Basic Dome Cap
Clean cover for exposed nuts, bolt heads, or threaded hardware.
✅ TPU Floor Protector / Furniture Foot
Wide brim protector for chair legs, table feet, threaded feet, and hardware touching the floor.
✅ Star Knob
Classic hand-tightening knob with adjustable number of arms.
✅ Knurled Knob
Round grip knob with textured outer edge.
✅ Wing Nut Knob
Large easy-grip wing style knob with adjustable span and height.

🔩 Hardware Support
The model supports metric sizes from M1 to M16 and several hardware types:
- Standard hex nut with bolt clearance
- Dome / acorn nut
- Flat bolt head
- D-shaft for motors
- Splined potentiometer shaft
You can also enable a side grub screw hole, useful for D-shafts, motors, knobs, and electronics projects.

🖨️ Print Notes
For rigid parts, PLA, PETG, or ABS work well.
For floor protectors or flexible press-fit caps, TPU is recommended.
Suggested starting tolerance:
- PLA / PETG: around 0.00 - 0.15 mm (if you want press-fit go with 0.00)
- TPU: around 0.0 mm to -0.1 mm
Print orientation depends on the selected part, but most caps and knobs are designed to print flat on the build plate.
