So someone in one of the Gridfinity Facebook groups asked about Microphone holders for Gridfinity.  So I took it as a challenge to come up with something that is flexible and can handle many different types of Microphones, as some are cylindrical, others have weird shaped heads, some have a ring around the head.  So this is the first pass at this.  You can also use this for other cylindrical accessories.

So there are a set of parameters that allow the Microphone to be modeled (measurement in mm).

• Bin Type : Single, Split or Double.   The bins can be long, so a split bin, creates to halves, the double only sets up bins for the ends.
• Grid Y Head: for double bins, how many Grids for the Microphone head
• Grid Y Shaft: for double bins, how many Grids for Microphone shaft.
• Overall Length:  Overall length of the microphone from top to end.
• Bin height:  Overrides the calculated height, if greater (NOTE: not implemented yet.)
• Include Lip:  Include the lip.
• Margin Edge: how much space to leave at minimum for the ends.
• Top Dia:  Diameter of the very top of the microphone
• Top Len: Length from the head to ring or bulge.
• Middle Dia:  Diameter at the middle of the head, or ring.
• Middle Ring:  Does the ring exist.
• Middle Ring Length:   how wide is the Middle Ring.
• Bottom Dia:  Diameter at the bottom of the head, roughly the top of the shaft.
• Bottom Len:  Distance from the bulge or ring.
• Shaft Dia:  Diameter of the rest of the shaft.

Some notes:

• The cylinders that are cut are tapered from one diameter to the next, for example the Bottom Dia and Shart diameter are the top and bottom of a cylinder.
• You can set the diameters for the top, middle and bottom the same to produce a cylindrical head.
