Sometimes you have a mess of embroidery floss and you don't want to wrap it around those cardboard thingies by hand. If you've got a yarn baller sitting on your shelf that you only use a few times a year, then you're in luck.

Works with my LACIS Yarn Ball Winder MO17 which is apparently the older model. Maybe it fits the newer MO77 (the yarn ball winder TWO)? You'll have to let me know!

If you have most of a full skein of floss/thread/string you'll want to use the cap or it will start to slip at the end.

There's a hole through the middle of the adapter which fits the basic twist tie that comes with anything with a cord. After winding the thread, remove the adapter from the gear box and wiggle off the cap (if you used it). Push the twist tie through the hole and then slide the ball of thread off the spindle and onto the twist tie. Twist the twist tie ends together to keep the ball from unrolling in your stash.
