A highly customizable
Rack Link
for HomeRacker
The Racklink is a modular connector that links two independent HomeRacker rack columns together. Instead of planning one massive rack from the start, build small columns and connect them later — no matter the height.

- 🔗 Modular by Design — Build columns independently, connect them whenever you're ready
- 📏 Asymmetric Support — Connect columns of different heights thanks to customizable sleeve positions
- 🔄 Both Sides Option — Front and back connectors in one print for maximum stability
- ⚙️ Fully Parametric — Height, distance, and sleeve ranges are all customizable
🤔 The Problem
Building a wide multi-column rack requires careful upfront planning. Get the dimensions wrong and you're reassembling everything or even worse: you need to reprint parts.
This get's even worse when each column has different heights and you'll need to plan a ton of connectors on a single vertical support beam. Single offset isn't even possible right now.
What if you could just build each column separately?

That's exactly what the Racklink enables. Two standalone columns, each built at their own pace, linked together with a simple snap-on connector (You should use lockpins though ;-) ).
🛠️ How It Works
The Racklink wraps around the vertical supports of two adjacent columns with double U-shaped sleeves, connected by a flat cover plate. The cover plate extends beyond the sleeves to overlap with the connectors above and below, giving a clean seamless look.

Different configurations are possible — from simple symmetric links to complex asymmetric ones where columns have different heights. The customizer handles it all.

Enable both_sides (default) to generate a front and back connector in one go for extra rigidity. It'll create a racklink for the front and one mirrored version for the back.
