Titans Chess Set
This chess set is inspired by the ancient Titans of Greek mythology, representing primordial forces of nature, time, and creation. Each piece embodies a distinct aspect of this early mythological era, expressed through sculptural forms designed for both visual impact and 3D printability.
The King is represented by Cronus, the ruler of the Titans and embodiment of time, symbolizing authority, inevitability, and power.
The Queen is based on Rea, the mother of the gods, expressing stability, creation, and quiet strength through flowing, grounded forms.
The Bishop is inspired by Prometheus, the bringer of fire, symbolizing knowledge and sacrifice. His form incorporates integrated chains and a stylized flame, designed as a unified structure to ensure durability during printing.
The Knight draws from Crius, interpreted as a powerful, compact figure that reflects movement and strength while maintaining a solid, print-friendly silhouette.
The Rook is represented by Atlas, depicted as a structural form bearing the weight of the heavens, reinforcing the idea of stability and endurance.
The Pawns are inspired by Cyclops, symbolizing raw strength and primal origin. Their simplified, unified shapes emphasize cohesion and reliability, both visually and structurally.
Together, these elements form a cohesive chess set that blends mythology, sculpture, and practical 3D design principles. The forms are intentionally optimized to reduce fragile details and minimize support requirements, making the set both visually striking and highly printable.
This file includes one complete set of chess pieces, containing a single model for each required piece to assemble the full set.
The default dimensions are scaled as follows:
- King: 10 cm
- Queen: 9 cm
- Bishop: 8 cm
- Rook & Knight: 7.5 cm
- Pawn: 6.5 cm
All models are provided at these proportions to ensure visual balance and consistency across the set.
If desired, the entire set can be uniformly scaled down to reduce print time and material usage, while maintaining the relative proportions between pieces. Keep in mind that excessive downscaling may affect fine details and print quality depending on your printer settings.
