🚀 UPDATE: Heavy-Duty Trailer Wedge & Mounting System
This project has been upgraded from a simple wedge to a complete modular storage system. You can now print both the high-traction wedge and a perfectly fitted mounting bracket to secure the wedge directly to your trailer wall or chassis.
🛠 Key Features
- Integrated Bracket: No more loose wedges bouncing around. The custom-fit sleeve keeps your wedge secure during transit.
- Precision Fit: Includes a Tolerance slider to ensure a smooth slide-in fit regardless of your printer's accuracy.
- Optimized Safety: The bracket is hardcoded to cover 80% of the wedge height, providing maximum grip while keeping the handle easy to grab.
- Heavy-Duty Design: Features reinforced mounting flanges with 6mm screw holes (customizable) for robust installation.
- High-Traction Wedge: Aggressive top teeth for tire grip and bottom channels to prevent sliding on mud or pavement.
⚙️ How to Customize
- Select Part: Use the part_mode dropdown to choose between the Wedge, the Bracket, or Both.
- Adjust Dimensions: Set your preferred width and thickness. The bracket will automatically scale to match your wedge!
- Fine-tune Fit: Use the tolerance setting (default 1.2mm) to ensure the wedge slides perfectly into the bracket.
- Mounting: Designed for M6 bolts or heavy-duty wood screws.
🖨 Recommended Print Settings
- Material: PETG, ASA, or ABS (for UV resistance and outdoor durability).
- Walls/Perimeters: 4 to 6 lines for maximum structural integrity if you use it for a trailer.
- Infill: 25% - 40% (Gyroid recommended).
- Orientation: Print the wedge on its side for the strongest results.

Recommended Print Settings
- Material:
- TPU : For the best results, use TPU. The flexibility provides incredible grip and prevents floor scratches.
- PLA/PETG: Works well for heavy doors, but may slide on very smooth floors (adding a piece of rubber tape to the bottom helps!).
- Infill: 15–25% (Gyroid is recommended for strength).
Wall Loops: 3–4 walls for a rigid, heavy-duty feel.
How to Customize
- Click on "Open in MakerLab" or "Customize".
- Adjust the Length, Width, and Height based on your door's clearance.
- Enter your preferred text in the Text String field.
- Generate your STL and enjoy a perfect fit!
