This enclosure provides a streamlined solution for protecting your smart gardening hardware. Specifically tailored for the Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor (v2.0.0), this design eliminates the look of exposed PCBs in your planters while significantly extending the life of your electronics.

- Universal Wiring Access: The entry port is designed to accommodate a variety of setups, from standard multi-core cables to individual dupont connectors.
Material Recommendations
- Indoor Use: PLA is perfectly suitable for indoor environments and decorative plants.
- Outdoor/Greenhouse Use: For high-temperature or high-UV environments, we recommend PETG, ABS, or ASA to ensure the housing remains durable and warp-free over time.
Enhanced Durability & Weatherproofing
To maximize hardware reliability in damp soil, we recommend implementing additional environmental sealing. For a fully water-resistant build, the internal cavity can be filled with silicone or epoxy after the sensor is seated.
- Integrated Circuitry: Apply a conformal coating or sealant to the electronic components on the upper portion of the PCB.
- Lateral Edges: Seal the sides of the board to prevent moisture from wicking into the PCB layers.
- Recommended Sealants: High-grade epoxy resin, silicone sealant, or specialized water-resistant coatings.
