Structure and Materials
Middle of the Rack (Top and Bottom Connectors – PLA)
These connectors feature 16.2 mm holes designed to fit the vertical support elements precisely. The rack in this build uses wooden rods measuring 16.2 mm in diameter and 25 cm in length, providing a lightweight yet stable structure for the entire system.
Tray Holder (PLA)
The holder consists of two parts: – an outer, thinner piece, – and an inner, larger piece with a hole at the top for an M6 nut. The two halves are tightened together using an M6×25 mm hex screw, allowing the holder to clamp securely onto the support elements. Its height is fully adjustable, so you can position the trays exactly where you need them, while still keeping the germination tray easy to remove and replace.
Germination Trays (PETG)
PETG provides excellent moisture resistance, easy cleaning and proper drainage for sprouting. The trays can be lifted out effortlessly for rinsing and daily maintenance.
Drip Tray (PETG)
Located at the bottom level, it collects excess water draining from the germination trays. PETG ensures durability, hygiene and long‑term resistance to moisture.
Note: The vertical supports can be wooden rods or 3D‑printed legs, allowing the entire rack to be built from printed components if desired.
