Do you find it difficult to bend down, or do you suffer from back pain, when you will pick up balls? You may have to pick up a lot of balls during training. This ball retriever can make it easier for you. It also stand alone. I printed it out in Petg and it worked well.  It’ll probably work for tennis balls too. However, I think it’s too flimsy for petanque balls. The hole is 26 mm.  A smal wood screw can be used to fix the print to shaft.
