Modelo 3D General Grievous Wind Spinner por Verräteros no MakerWorld

Descrição

Hello there!

Ever wondered what happens when a certain multi-armed lightsaber enthusiast discovers that spinning is a good trick?

This wind spinner channels the energy of a galaxy far, far away villain who clearly skipped leg day but never skipped spin day.

As soon as the wind hits, it unleashes full 2003-cartoon-level spinning action, hopefully minus the Jedi casualties.

This will make a fine addition to your flower pots!

There are 4 options:

  1. A multicolored version if you have an AMS or a dual nozzle printer
  2. A single colored version where some parts can be printed in a different color, but overall should be used if you want to paint it by hand.
  3.  A modular version that is a middle ground between the single and multi color version, but requires more assembly and glueing.
  4. NEW! There is a 608 ball bearing mod now for more effortless spinning.

Printing instructions:

  • Use the provided printing profile.
  • You need some super glue.
  • You need a total of 6 blades. The plates have 2 blades each to make it easier to print in multiple colors

You can also fit all 6 blades on one 256x256 plate if you want.

  • Clean your print bed with warm water and soap!

The ball bearing part and the blades need a flawless first layer. If there is a fault in the first layer, restart it.

  • Be carefull with the support removal. Dont forget the supports in the recesses for the ball bearing and head.
  • If you need a longer shaft, there is a 30cm option as a printing profile

Assembly:

  1. Take the ball bearing and turn the inner part a couple times to make sure it works correctly. you might need to use a bit more force for the first few revolutions
  2. (Modular version only) Glue the beige arm and shoulder parts to the arms
  3. Glue the blades to the ball bearing (sleeve for 608 mod). If you dont glue them, they will fall off when it spins.
  4. (ball bearing mod only) Pressfit the bearing into the sleeve and the ring into the torso, then put the head trough the bearing into the torso
  5. Press the ball bearing with the blades into the recess of the torso. You can use glue, but it is already a tight fit
  6. Press the head into the recess of the ball bearing
  7. (Modular version only) Glue the beige knee and shin parts to the left and right leg. There are recesesses for guidance
  8. (Modular version only) Press the pelvic part into the leg parts (ball joints). Dont glue yet
  9. Press the body (ball joint) into the leg part and pivot it all the way to the front. Then glue it.
  10. (Modular version only) Make sure blades dont hit the foot. If they do, readjust. If there is enough clearance, glue it
  11. Take on of the shafts and put it in the opening on the bottom. No need for glue here

And there you have it, your very own Supreme Martial Commander of the Separatist Droid Armies.

Some notes:

This will defenitely spin in the wind. But as the blades are somewhat heavy and the ball bearing is just plastic, it needs at least somewhat of a light breeze.

Also, if you print it in PLA, please note that this isnt the best material to put into your garden, as rain and sun will degergate it after a while.

If you encounter any problems during printing, send me a message, I will try to do my best to help you.
