You can use this spool to dry your silica gel in your AMS 2 Pro, AMS HT, or filament dryer. It holds around 1.2 kg of silica gel and features a twist snap-lock lid plus a small cap that can be replaced with a funnel or spout for easier handling.

I found similar solutions, but I wanted something with larger capacity, an opening for funnels/spouts, and internal fins to help mix the silica when rotating the spool (especially in an AMS HT).

The STLs have solid top and bottom walls. In the print profile, modifiers set top/bottom layers to 0 so the infill acts as a ventilation grid. The wave-pattern walls are designed to reduce print time. Good layer adhesion is important for this print. I strongly recommend using the provided print profile, as it already includes these settings. If you make your own, please check the original profile.

Important: Do not use PLA, as it cannot handle high temperatures. I recommend ASA or ABS. PETG may work at lower temperatures. Feel free to share your results with other materials.

The lid and small cap both snap into place. The main lid may require some force—make sure it is properly locked to avoid spilling silica in your dryer.

Drying settings (my setup):
~85°C for 4–6 hours in an AMS HT works well for me. If you use different settings, please share. :)
