Wall-Mounted Planters with Dovetail Mounting System

I designed these wall-mounted planters to solve a simple problem: traditional flower pots take up floor space and get in the way during everyday tasks like vacuuming or cleaning. The goal was a clean, stable solution to move plants completely off the ground and onto the wall.

The system consists of two parts: a fixed wall bracket and a matching planter. Both are connected using a dovetail joint, which allows the planter to slide into place and lock securely without additional fasteners.

Sizes & Compatibility

The planters are available in multiple sizes (small to large).
Important: Each planter size only fits its corresponding wall bracket.

A universal bracket is not feasible due to the round geometry of the planters. A precise fit is required to ensure proper load distribution and stability.

Construction & Material

* Wall bracket: 10 mm wall thickness
* Planter: 5 mm wall thickness
* Material: PLA
* The planter is fully watertight when printed correctly

Print Notes

* Designed for reliable FDM printing
* Wall thickness is intentionally robust to handle soil and water weight
* Internal supports:
* Due to the curved inner geometry, support material inside the planter cannot be completely avoided
* Minor imperfections from supports are expected
* Not an issue in real use, as the inside will be covered with soil and plants

Installation

* Mount the wall bracket using appropriate screws and wall plugs
* Slide the planter in from the top → secure and stable fit
