Descrição
Working V6 engine, scaled down to 45%, perfect for display models. No glue required, but it's a tough print and metric hardware is required for assembly.
Required Hardware
- 6x M2x6mm flat-head screws
- 4x M2x16mm screws
- Super Lube (optional)
Print Settings
You will want to try and print engine-shaft-rods.stl first, it is by far the hardest part to print as 90%+ of it sits on supports. You will want to carefully paint on support so none of them are sitting on top of the shaft. See attached photo for how support should look like. Once printed and cleaned, you need to get it running smooth, see assembly video. I also recommend using a brim on engine-block-a.stl and engine-block-b.stl
General Print Settings for all the .stl files
- 0.12mm layer height (or better)
- 4 perimeters, 15% infill
- PLA or PETG
- All files can be printed in the orientation they come with.
Assembly
You'll need to sandwich the bottom of the engine with the crankshaft before attaching the pistons. The following video covers assembling the engine and installing it in the 1:16 Tacoma and 1:16 chassis models:
