Parametric Brass Threaded Heat-Set Insert Library (M2–M6, 18 Sizes)

A fully parametric brass heat-set insert library for Shapr3D covering 18 common ISO metric sizes from M2 to M6.

Intended use: This is a CAD/design-time library. When you're designing an enclosure or part that will use real brass heat-set inserts, drop one of these into your 3D CAD assembly to confirm the boss geometry, check clearances, and see how the insert seats before you 3D print, prototype, or send parts out for manufacturing. The STL exports are for visualization/fit-checking only — they are not meant to be printed as functional inserts. All dimensions are in millimeters, ISO metric. No print profiles or .3mf files are included; this is a CAD asset library.

This library is based on measurements from a 440-piece INCLY brass insert assortment kit and is designed around the common double-knurled heat-set insert style used in 3D printed parts. It is meant for CAD visualization, fit checking, and enclosure design workflows.
