📦 PARAMETRIC DRAWER ORGANIZER (UP TO 10 CUSTOM BOXES)
A fully customizable drawer storage system where you can design your own layout by adjusting up to 10 individual boxes, each with independent size and position control.
This model is designed for maximum flexibility, allowing you to perfectly fit any drawer shape without needing multiple separate files.

Examples:

🧠 HOW THIS MODEL WORKS
Instead of one fixed organizer, this model uses:
- Multiple independent boxes
- Each box can be resized
- Each box can be moved
- Boxes can be turned on or off
- Optional automatic grid layout
You are essentially building your own custom drawer system.
📏 STEP 1 — MEASURE YOUR DRAWER
Before changing anything in the model:
Measure:
- Internal length of drawer (left to right)
- Internal width of drawer (front to back)
- (Optional) height if you want a visual limit
Enter these values:
drawer_length drawer_width
💡 Tip:
Always measure inside edges, not outside.
📦 STEP 2 — UNDERSTAND THE BOX SYSTEM
You have up to 10 boxes available:
Each box includes:
- Enable switch (ON/OFF)
- Length (X size)
- Width (Y size)
- Height (Z size)
- Position X
- Position Y
Example:
box1_enable = 1 box1_length = 80 box1_width = 60 box1_height = 50 box1_x = 0 box1_y = 0
🔘 STEP 3 — TURN BOXES ON OR OFF
Each box has an enable value:
1 = ON (box will appear) 0 = OFF (box is disabled)
👉 Only enable the boxes you actually want to use.
Example setup:
- Box 1 → ON
- Box 2 → ON
- Box 3–10 → OFF
📐 STEP 4 — SET BOX SIZES
For each active box, adjust:
Required values:
- box_length → left to right size
- box_width → front to back size
- box_height → vertical height
Example:
box2_length = 120 box2_width = 80 box2_height = 50
📍 STEP 5 — POSITION BOXES (MANUAL MODE)
If auto layout is OFF:
auto_layout = 0
You must manually position each box:
Position system:
- box_x = left/right placement
- box_y = front/back placement
Example:
box2_x = 90 box2_y = 0

Think of it like a grid inside your drawer.
🧠 STEP 6 — OPTIONAL AUTO LAYOUT MODE
If you don’t want to manually position everything:
Turn on:
auto_layout = 1
Then set:
cols = number of columns
What this does:
- Automatically arranges boxes in a grid
- Spreads them evenly using spacing
- Prevents overlapping (if sized correctly)
⚠️ Important:
Auto layout ONLY controls position, not size.
🧱 STEP 7 — UNDERSTAND PRINT STRUCTURE
Each box is:
- A fully separate 3D object
- Printed individually but generated in one file
- Not physically connected to other boxes
This allows:
- Easy printing
- Easy rearranging
- Custom layouts per user
🖨️ STEP 8 — RECOMMENDED PRINT SETTINGS
For best results:
Layer settings:
- Layer height: 0.2mm
- Wall count: 2–3 perimeters
- Infill: 10–15%
Material:
- PLA (easy printing)
- PETG (stronger option)
Supports:
- ❌ Not required
⚠️ STEP 9 — IMPORTANT RULES
To avoid issues:
- Do NOT overlap boxes in manual mode
- Keep wall thickness ≥ 1.2mm
- Leave small gaps between boxes (1–3mm recommended)
- Ensure box sizes fit inside drawer dimensions
- Always preview before exporting STL
