The Hex&Lite Utility Knife is a streamlined version of my original design, focusing on a clean aesthetic and a comfortable user experience. By removing the wire stripper, we’ve achieved a smoother profile that maintains a bold, tactical look while ensuring a rock-solid mechanical fit for your everyday tasks.

✨ Why print this?

• Hex-Pattern Grip: The standout feature is the new honeycomb (hex) pattern on the handle, which provides an excellent tactile feel and a modern, high-tech look that’s perfect for 3D printing.
• Simplified Ergonomics: We’ve kept the deeply contoured handle shape that fits naturally in your palm, ensuring maximum comfort and reducing hand fatigue during extended use.
• Clean Profile: By removing the wire stripping notch, this version offers a more minimalist and snag-free design, ideal for those who want a dedicated, high-performance cutting tool.
• Two-Tone Aesthetics: Specifically optimized for high-contrast colors—as seen in the photos, the hex pattern truly pops when using contrasting filament for the grips and the body.

🛠️ Compatibility & Requirements

• Hardware: Fully compatible with the previous version. Requires 6x BT3x8 SHCS Self-Tapping Screws (Standard screws found in the Bambu Maker's Beginner Kit).
• Blade: Uses the same precision-engineered fit for standard trapezoid utility blades, ensuring the blade stays locked in place with zero wobble.
• Print Optimized: Designed with smart orientation in mind, ensuring a sturdy build and a professional "factory" finish straight off the build plate.

💡 Usage Tips

• Pro Tip: For maximum durability, I recommend printing the "Knife Body" with at least 3 walls. Using PETG or PLA+ will ensure the screw holes and the hex pattern remain tough and crisp over time.
• Assembly: Place the blade into the main body first, then secure the blade clamp and the decorative Hex grip plates using the self-tapping screws. Note: Do not overtighten the screws!
