Descrição
Overview This is a compact and efficient "Torture Test" designed to help you find the perfect settings for your filament, especially for Silk PLA. Unlike standard towers, this model uses 10x10x10mm blocks stacked at a 45-degree rotation to test multiple parameters simultaneously.
What this model tests:
- Temperature: Identify the "Sweet Spot" for maximum gloss and layer adhesion.
- 45° Overhangs: Check how your cooling fan handles steep angles on every floor.
- Bridges: Small bridging gaps between rotated blocks to test sagging.
- Stringing & Oozing: Clear visual feedback on retraction performance across different temperatures.
- Corner Precision: Observe "Corner Bulging" to fine-tune your Pressure Advance (K-factor).
Technical Specifications:
- Block Dimensions: 10 x 10 x 10 mm.
- Rotation: 45° offset per floor.
- Total Height: Depends on your stack (e.g., 60mm or 80mm).
G-Code Instructions (Manual Setup): To use this as a Temperature Tower, you need to add custom G-code in your slicer (Preview tab -> Right-click layer slider -> Add Custom G-code).
Suggested Layer Swaps (at 0.2mm layer height):
- Layer 1: Start at 230°C (Default)
- Layer 63: M104 S225
- Layer 101: M104 S220
- Layer 139: M104 S215
- Layer 176: M104 S210
- Layer 215: M104 S205
- Layer 252: M104 S200
- Layer 289: M104 S190
Printing Tips: For the best results with Silk PLA, keep your Outer Wall Speed between 30-50 mm/s. If you experience heavy stringing at all levels, please ensure your filament is thoroughly dried (50°C for 6+ hours) before running the test.
