Retraction test model designed to help fine-tune filament retraction and reduce stringing issues on Bambu Lab 3D printers. The model consists of two vertical pillars connected only at the base, creating a gap where the printer must travel between points without depositing excess material.

This simple but effective design is slightly larger than typical retraction tests, which helps ensure proper cooling of the filament and prevents misleading results. The visible stringing between the pillars makes it easy to evaluate how well the current retraction settings are working.

By observing the amount of thin filament strands between the towers, users can adjust retraction distance, speed, and temperature to achieve cleaner prints. If temperature settings are not yet optimized, running this test first can help eliminate stringing problems and improve overall print quality.

The model is quick to print and provides clear, easy-to-read results, making it a practical calibration tool for achieving smoother surfaces, better detail, and more reliable prints, especially when aiming for clean and visually appealing top layers with proper ironing settings.
