Joy-Con Wrist Strap Toggle (Replacement)

This is a functional 3D-printed replacement for the Joy-Con Strap Toggle. If your original slider broke or you’re building a custom strap, this two-part design is exactly what you need.

It features internal pins (protrusions) specifically designed to hold the tension spring in place, ensuring the locking mechanism works just like the original.

Specifications & Hardware

• Parts included: Top and Bottom shells.
• Spring required: You will need a standard ballpoint pen spring.
• Recommended spring dimensions: $4\text{mm} \times 15\text{mm}$.
• Fit: Designed with tight tolerances for a secure "click" on the cord.

Recommended Print Settings

To ensure the internal pins and the snap-fit are strong enough for daily use, I recommend the following "Strength" settings:

• Wall Loops: 3 (for extra structural integrity).
• Infill: 100% (with "Infill Wall Overlap" or "Incorporate Infill into Walls" enabled to prevent delamination).
• Layer Height: 0.12mm or 0.16mm.
• Material: PLA+ or PETG.

Assembly Instructions

1. Place the spring onto the center post/protrusion of the bottom part.
2. Snap the top cover onto the bottom part.
3. Thread your Joy-Con cord through the side channels.
4. Test the sliding action to ensure the spring provides enough tension to lock the cord.
