Descrição
Designed for the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, this holder provides a clean, compact, and service-friendly mounting solution for robotics, embedded electronics, and custom maker builds. I made it for my R2D2 project, where I needed a simple way to mount the board securely while keeping all the important ports accessible.
The design uses an X-shaped rear support to hold the Pi Zero 2 W firmly in place without adding unnecessary bulk. It keeps the board secure while preserving access to the microSD card, micro-USB ports, mini-HDMI, GPIO header, and camera connector area, which makes wiring, setup, and maintenance much easier inside a tight build.
For assembly, I used:
- 4x heat-set threaded inserts M2.5, OD 3.5 mm, H 4 mm
- 4x M2.5 x 6 mm screws
- 4x M2.5 washers
The holder itself can simply be glued onto any flat surface, which makes installation quick and practical inside a droid, robot, electronics bay, or compact enclosure. If maintenance is needed later, you can just unscrew the Raspberry Pi from the holder without removing the whole support, which is much more convenient for servicing, upgrades, or wiring changes.
This is a functional mount for builders using the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W in a droid, robot, embedded system, prop, IoT, or custom electronics project. It is especially useful when you want a lightweight, minimalist, and easy-to-service mounting solution instead of a full case.
I designed it from real-world use inside my R2D2, with the goal of getting a tidy internal layout, reliable retention, and fast installation with minimal material.
