This little project was created with a lot of love for a very special reason: making something together with our young daughter for Easter.

We wanted something simple, fun, and meaningful – a craft that small children can enjoy, and at the same time create something they can proudly gift or hang up as decoration. 

The idea is easy and playful. With the 3D printed templates, children can make soft wool pompoms and turn them into sweet Easter characters. It’s a hands-on activity that invites creativity, fine motor skills, and lots of smiles along the way.

What we love most is the moment when a child finishes their little creation and can’t wait to show it, gift it, or hang it somewhere special.

Instructions:

You will need: approx. 12 meters of colored yarn, a pair of scissors, and the pompom template.

Cut the yarn into 8–10 strands, each about 1.5 meters long (depending on the thickness of the yarn, you may need more or fewer strands).

Gather the strands into a bundle and wrap them evenly and tightly around the template. The more yarn you use, the fluffier your pompom will be.

Carefully cut the strands along the outer edge of the template, then tie them tightly together in the middle using an additional piece of yarn.

You can trim and shape the pompom a little to make it nice and even.

Now your cute little creation is ready to be gifted or hung up.
