Decorate your planters with these easter chickens
Description:
I designed this cute little chicken decoration with a threaded hole in the base, allowing it to be easily mounted on a stake. It’s perfect for adding a touch of Easter spirit to your favorite planters, garden beds, or indoor pots.
The idea came from wanting a decoration that could accompany my plants. I love having greenery around me, and this felt like a simple and fun way to combine seasonal decoration with everyday spaces.
About the print plates:
Plate 1 (The chicken body):
My favorite way to print this model is by assembling it myself and printing the parts separately to avoid purge waste—the result is perfect. This plate includes the body of the chicken, which I have printed in lemon yellow PLA, but white also works really well. The body has a height of 44 mm.
Plate 2 (Eyes, beak and details):
This plate includes the remaining parts: the beak printed in orange and the eyes in black with white dots. The plate is set to print by object.
Plate 3 (Soil spikes):
This plate includes spikes in different lengths to match various planters and desired heights. It includes versions of 3 cm, 5 cm, 7 cm, and 10 cm.
Plate 4 (Solid chicken – AMS):
If you want to print the chicken using the AMS, this is the plate for you, with all colored parts assembled.
Plate 5 (Single color):
If you want to print the entire chicken in one color (for example, before painting), you can use this plate.
Notes:
I found that the threading can be a bit tighter with some materials. Matte and Basic filaments are very easy to assemble, while Silk tends to put up a bit more resistance. If you struggle, try scaling the stake slightly down in the X and Y directions.
