I initially design a bracket for a kind of cubic ASUS screen power supply, the model is still available here. But I needed more brackets for all different hubs, power supplies, docking stations, outlets … that I want to hide and attach under my desk.
The initial fusion 360 model was a bit complex, so I simplify it with a total of 14 only parameters which should be enough to have a fully customizable bracket for object you want to support, so far I tested it for 2 objects. All the parameters are described in the picture attached. And you can use makerworld parametric model maker tool to customize your own one matching your specific needs.
In this new model, I add two locking tabs on each side, you can move them at the desired position to avoid holes, plugs, and other features of your object you need an access for. You can make it one if you indicate the same value for the distance from the edge or a larger one if you have a distance difference lower than the locking tab width … I lost you ? Try it you will understand.
A note regarding the clearances I integrated in the 3D model : +0.5mm of length, width and height of your object. So you just need to enter your object dimensions. I tested it with a Dell docker and the ASUS screen power supply and it works.
To make it a bit stronger, I put 3 wall loops and an infill density at 30%. I just print them in PLA 0.2mm standard on a P2S.
Something, I'd like to ask if you are using this model for your own object is to add your 3mf as a new print profile with the exact name of your object (example : Ugreen gigabit ethernet splitter 1 to 2 bracket) with a picture of the object within the bracket, so others can easily find it and re-use it.
Thanks for considering this model
