Descrição
I needed an M8 wingscrew for a project for my kiddo, but wingscrews are boring. Obviously, the only solution was to overcomplicate it in a way that I could use a pun.
This is printed as objects to:
- Minimise support
- Make prettier surfaces
- Improve strength
- Reduce waste if printing in multiple colours
I have included plates so you can print 1, 2, or 4 pikascrews at a time. If you want to print without AMS: print one object, change filament, print the next object, and so on.
This file uses the same filament for the screwcaps and the threaded part - but in the picture I've used silver ABS for the threaded part.
Suggersed Assembly:
- Put the red insert into the black outline - have it sitting level with the top edge.
- Push the black outline onto the screwcap - starting on the side with the lower section (the red insert must line up with the lower section)
This bit is pretty tricky because it's a tight fit - this was on purpose to avoid the need for glue while fiddling things into place. - Push the red insert to the bottom of its slot.
- Add a few spots of superglue inside the cutout on the bottom of the screw cap.
- Push the wings into the screwcap, then the threaded part.
- Pikascrew it into something.
