My next little dragon for the collection.
Yes, I know it’s technically more of a wyvern, but Game of Thrones kind of blurred the definition of dragons 🙂

In this model, I wanted to capture a dynamic hovering pose, just above the ground. The dragon is carefully balanced so it stands on its tail. The wing membranes are also very thin, so when using transparent PLA, they let light pass through nicely.

Important:
This model requires a lot of supports, so experience in removing supports and proper tools are highly recommended. Pay special attention to the dragon’s left foot. It is surrounded by supports and needs to be cleaned very carefully. If it breaks, it can be easily glued back using super glue. This happened to me when printing with SILK filament. In general, SILK filaments can be problematic for this kind of model because they are more brittle. PLA Matte works much better and does not have these issues.

Print profile:

The print profile includes three color versions: a fully colored dragon, a version with colored eyes, and a version without colors.

These are just suggestions each part intended for coloring is a separate object, so you can easily customize the colors as you like.

For the fully colored version, I recommend using an H2C printer.
