However, even with the right material, the natural layer lines created by FDM 3D printing can harbor bacteria over time, and some makers understandably have concerns about microplastics.

Don't let that discourage you from making this fun project! There is a simple, highly hygienic method to use this mold. Not only does it keep your food completely safe, but it also makes taking the butter out of the mold incredibly easy!

How to Make Your Butter Lamb:
1. Line the Mold: Use a piece of food-grade cling film (plastic wrap) to separate the 3D print from the butter.

2. Prep the Butter: Make sure your butter has a softened consistency that allows it to be easily shaped inside the mold.

3. Fill and Pack: Close the mold, stuff the butter in from the bottom opening, and pack it tightly to ensure all the fine details are fully filled.

4. Chill: Place the filled mold in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes until the butter becomes firm.

5. Unmold & Decorate: Open the mold, gently pull the butter lamb out using the edges of the cling film, and carefully peel the film away. Finally, decorate your lamb: use peppercorns or cloves for the eyes, and place a small Easter branch (like pussy willow or boxwood) next to it on your plate.
