Parametric Thumb Screw (Hex Nut)

This is a fully parametric thumb screw designed to turn any standard hex nut (M3 to M20+) into a hand-tightened knob. Perfect for any kind of project which requires quick screw and unscrewing.

I recommend using 3+ wall loops for mechanical strength and PETG.

New: Captive Nut Mode!

Want the nut permanently locked inside? Enable `is_captive`. Set your slicer to pause at the top of the hex cavity (usually bottom_skin_thickness + nut_height). Drop the nut in, resume printing, and the printer will seal it inside!
