Descrição
This is my take on a modular LED-Shelf.
It is designed in a way, so minimal external equipment is needed.
What you do need:
+ a flathead screwdriver
+a pair of pliers to more easily break the connectors loose after printing
+ a knive of some sort for clean up of the prints
+LEDs
Just for reference:
For the model that I printed I used around 2.5kg of white Pla filament and 5m of led stripes.
In my model:
The Panels have dedicated cut outs for the connectors and for the LEDs to go threw. When printed they are filled, you just need to pop them out (I did it with the edge of a pair of pliers).
In the model there are also the so called “light blockers” included. When using white filament, the LEDs most probably will show trough on the outer side of the print. If you do not want that to happen, you can just print the light bockers and insert them (I didn't do it in my print, but you can see on the picture where they should be inserted).
For the connectors I included two with a slighty different hight. In my model I exclusively used the “thight” ones, but you will have to try for yourself whichones work best for you. (And yes I did snap a few of the connectors. This mainly happens if the underside isn't cleaned properly from the support structure.) To remove the support structure, I used a pair of pliers to break them free and than the back side of a utility knive to break of and clean the remaining areas.
