Scraper V1: Fast, Sharp, and Simple
I got tired of bulky scrapers that take too long to print or don't get under the edges of prints properly, so I designed the Scraper V1. It’s a slim, "no-nonsense" tool specifically optimized for quick bed removal without damaging your build plate.
Why this design?
- Ultra-Thin Edge: Designed with a sharp taper to slide right under those stubborn brims and small parts.
- 30-Minute Print: Optimized geometry so you can go from "Start Print" to "Scraping" in about half an hour.
- A1 Compatible: The hole at the top isn't just for a pegboard—it fits perfectly on the side tool holder/cable wrap of the Bambu Lab A1 (as shown in the photos).
- Ergonomic Grip: Added a subtle ribbed texture to the scraper head for better thumb grip and control.
Print Settings
I’ve tested this in PLA, and it’s plenty strong for daily use.
- Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.20mm (lower layer height makes the edge sharper).
- Walls: 3-4 for extra stiffness in the handle.
- Infill: 15-20% (Grid or Gyroid).
- Supports: None needed.
- Orientation: Print it flat on the bed for maximum strength.
Note: Even though it’s "Ultra Sharp" for a 3D print, it’s still plastic. It won't scratch your PEI plate like a metal blade will!
How to use it:
If you're using a textured PEI plate, let the plate cool for a minute, then use a quick, low-angle motion to pop the corner of your print.
