Modelo 3D Arkham Horror Card Game - Second Chapter Insert por Pmdage no MakerWorld

Descrição

UPDATE: The lids got a significant visual upgrade. They now use a concealed snap-fit design, with the retention tabs hidden inside the lid rather than passing through it. In other words, the top of the lid is now completely flat.

The lids share the same overall dimensions as the previous version, so if you've already printed the insert, you can print just the lids to upgrade. If the previous lids were more to your liking, you can still access them as a manual download. They are stored within the folder named “Legacy Lids”.

These lids print without supports regardless of orientation. Your slicer will likely warn you about this, just ignore it. Once printed, pinch the cantilever arms inward until you hear a crack. This breaks the built-in breakaway supports, and the lid is ready to use.

The snap-fit tabs are now hidden out of sight!

This insert is made for the Arkham Horror LCG Second Chapter box. Every bin, tray, and box features a cantilever snap-fit lid, making it possible for you to safely store this game in any way or shape you want without fear of having everything shuffled inside the box.

If you like what you see, there are two ways you can help me make more designs.

An easy way is to boost me through Makerworld. Another way to help out is to keep me caffeinated (via Ko-Fi).

Alternate Files

An alternate token tray with a wooden crate exterior is also included. It’s optional and provided as-is. If you choose to print it, higher detail settings help the look (0.12 mm layer height worked well for me). Note that I drybrushed my crates with earthy tones to make the patterns pop out.

Alternative files are available for those without an AMS. For best results, print these with the labels facing the print bed.

The layout stays compact while making setup and teardown quicker at the table.

Alternative files for card storage boxes:

If you use Dragon Shield Matte sleeves and are concerned that the cards need to lean a bit in the box, there are three solutions that are available for you:

The "Quick and Easy" option:
A new part called “Wedge” can be printed to support your cards at the proper angle inside the box. This removes pressure from the cards while keeping the original setup. Print one per box.

The "Yeah but..." option:
File: “Cards - Sleeved - Box - Adjusted Height”
This allows cards to stand fully upright and still use the same lids. However, the boxes become taller, so you’ll also need to print two "Levelling Plate -Adjusted Height” and place them at the bottom under the Token and Expansion boxes.
Trade-off: this removes almost all space for manuals. You’ll need to store them outside or accept “lid lift”.

The "Something in between" option:
File: “Cards - Sleeved - No Lid”
This is a lidless frame that allows upright cards while keeping space for manuals. Since there’s no lid, cards are less secure if the box is stored vertically or moved around a lot. A "Levelling Plate - Grid Box” is also available and used the same way, though it only adds 0.6 mm. Optional unless you want everything perfectly flush.
