My partner wanted to refresh our kitchen and add a splash of colour, so we looked into all sorts of different options and found the easiest thing to start with would be to replace the standard drawer pulls / handles we had. This led us down a rabbit hole of searching online for different designs until finally we settled on a squiggle design. We had found a company which sold brass squiggle handles, however they didn't have any colourful versions. So, I set about designing my own to be 3D printed. I grabbed a squiggle shape online and popped it into TinkerCAD, measured the distance between the holes on the drawers and set the distance between the screw holes on the handle accordingly. A few different iterations later I settled on the file above. The screw holes on the handle are slightly smaller than the original fittings so that I could use self tapping screws to ensure a good tight fit between the handle and the drawer itself. Overall we are really pleased with how they came out, that much so, that my partner made me print some in yellow also, to replace the handles on our wardrobes in the bedroom! 😂
