I can't remember the settings I used, probably 0.6mm nozzle with 3 walls and 25% infill, cubic subdivision, but that's a guess as I printed it closed to a few years ago and its been in service ever since, works well with just enough give to cushion the door, also slightly shorter than the original hard stopper, so lets my door open about 30mm or so wider. You make have to experiment with print settings, it should not be too easy to compress by hand to ensure sufficient resilience for the force of the door closing on to it.
Requires 1 steel counter bracket as shown in the pics, flatten the bracket beforehand, this should result in a flat plate with holes approx 20mm apart, this will be used by the attaching screws to firmly secure the buffer.
The small holes are for the screws to pass through so print with them on the bed, pause the print after the lower section with these holes has printed and it has completed at least a few mm of the angled wall sections, insert the plate bent above (see last image) and resume the print.
You can then insert screws using the larger holes on the top passing them through both metal plate and lower printed section to securely attach to the wall or door fame as required.
Update…. New shorter version added, just 18.9mm tall (original above is 35mm), very slightly less “give” in this version, otherwise all the above instructions apply.
