The StrapDock is a purpose-built trekking pole holder designed to mount directly onto the keder rail of backpack shoulder straps. Engineered specifically for the Gregory pack system, it is sized to fit a 4.4mm keder rail and should be compatible with other packs using a standard keder profile of the same dimension.
The trekking pole clip has an inner diameter of 15.45mm.
Upon request, the model can be updated to fit alternate strap systems outside of the keder rail, and the trekking pole clip diameter can be adjusted to accommodate different pole sizes. For enquiries or suggestions, please contact dan@danamics.net.
Printed in ASA, StrapDock is built to handle the UV exposure, temperature fluctuation, and moisture that come with regular outdoor use. I typically use 4-5 walls for parts considered functional for high use. High infill (80+%) recommended. Brim recommended (5-7mm) for bed adhesion of small parts with ASA.
Once seated in the rail, the holder delivers a firm, stable hold that keeps poles locked in place without play or rattle during movement across varied terrain.
For best results and longest service life, it is recommended to clip the holder at the thinnest point of the trekking pole, typically just above the basket, then slide the pole downward into the final position. This method minimises stress on the mount during insertion and removal, and makes for the smoothest in-and-out action on the trail.
