Keeping containers stacked is easy. Keeping all the lids under control? That is a different story.

We have a huge mix of food containers from Kmart, Target, IKEA, and Amazon, and while the containers themselves store neatly, the lids were always a mess. Different sizes, different shapes, different brands… and somehow they always end up taking too much space and creating frustration.
I looked at a number of lid holder designs, but most of them were made for only one specific type of lid. That did not work for us.
So I designed this modular and expandable lid holder system.
The idea is simple:
![]() | Print as many holder modules as you need, then connect them together to create a storage solution that fits your space and your collection of lids. You can make it wider, longer, and more versatile depending on your cupboard size and the number of lids you want to store.
The system is designed for lids that clip onto containers, which many brands have in common. It can be mounted using double-sided tape (I use Gorilla tape) or with countersunk particle board screws, depending on how permanent you want the setup to be.
|
I printed mine in different colours so I can group lids by brand. That makes it much easier to quickly find the right lid for the right container.

This is just the start. Over time, I plan to release more holder variations for different lid types, so you can mix and match modules and build one flexible storage system for many kinds of lids.
If your lid drawer is driving you crazy too, this might be the solution.
Configurable Dimensions
The length of each holder can be adjusted to suit your cabinet. Just head over to customize it, then download the set and print.
… and don't forget to split to objects in your slicer :-)
