This is a fun and creative way to store things from desk supplies to small items and more. while it may look like an ordinary box from the outside, twist the top and the four bins spiral out from the sides. With the simple yet functional look, you can customize it with any colors you want. Print everything in one color as a subtle storage container, or print in many colors to add a contrast to your space.

While it may look like a simple design, this took a lot of iterating and a lot of filament to get the mechanism working just right, so if you want please boost.

Assembly:

1. remove all supports and brims from printing.
2. set the top of the container face down and place the four bins upside down lining up the pins with the holes (not the slots).
3. place the bottom of the container onto the rest of the pieces lining up the pins in the slots.
4. add a screw into the hole in the bottom. Turn until tight, and then back the screw out around a quarter of a turn so that the mechanism turns smoothly.

FYI the mechanism turns smoothest when the box is level or close to level. The mechanism can jam if the container is sideways.
