Have a sewing machine that only has a vertical spool pin? Same. So I designed and printed this adapter that allows you to run cross wound thread spools more effectively. The cap goes on and slides into the spool to keep it stationary as the thread unwinds.

The first version I designed was made to go onto the bobbin winder, and literally as I was typing this, I realized I could mount it directly on the vertical thread spool pin…. So I threw together a version for that as well. The bobbin winder version is still useful if you want to use a twin needle.

The version for the bobbin has 2 variants, a straight 90 degree, and a version that is canted by 3 degrees. The winder on my Brother is slightly canted, so it helps it feed properly. 

The vertical pin adapter has a 4.6mm hole to fit the 4.5mm pin on my machine. If your machine needs a different size, let me know and I can whip that up quickly for you!
