Fluted Vase
Overview
Fluted Vase is a decorative cylindrical vase featuring vertical fluted ribs along the exterior surface. The design combines a minimal cylindrical form with evenly spaced grooves that create a modern architectural look.
The fluting provides both aesthetic texture and structural reinforcement, making the vase visually interesting while maintaining good print strength.
This model was originally designed as a decorative object suitable for interior decoration, desk setups, or modern home décor.
Design Features
Vertical Fluted Pattern
The exterior surface includes evenly spaced vertical ribs (flutes) that run from the base to the upper section. This design:
Adds visual rhythm and shadow play
Improves grip when handling
Slightly reinforces the wall structure
Tapered Top Transition
Near the top, the fluting gradually transitions into a smooth circular opening, giving the object a softer finish and preventing sharp edges.
Cylindrical Structure
The main body is cylindrical, allowing:
Easy slicing
Stable printing
Balanced visual proportions
Intended Use
This model can be used as:
- Decorative vase
- Desk organizer
- Pen holder
- Artificial flower holder
- Modern décor piece
- Display container for small objects
If used for real plants or water, sealing may be recommended.

Use clear sealant inside the vase
Tips
- I printed this for my wife and overall works great, the only inconvenience was as PLA is not heavy and with strong wind, the vase can flip, so it is recommended to put something a bit heavy inside, I put small rocks to fill it up just about the middle and so far has been working good.
