This model is a significantly changed and remixed version of the Minecraft Easter Egg by rebeccareid on Thingiverse: [https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6545772.](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6545772.)  The summary from thingiverse is: I loved the minecraft egg but I wanted to be able to put it in my kids Easter basket. 

In my description, I also include the remix information.  However, in summary. I joined the original bottom and top halves. Then I cut the model in half vertically instead. I inverted each half into the hollow of the other half, forming the Minecraft pattern on the interior. I then added shelves to each half for small items. Once that was done I add a hinge of my own design so both halves would stay together. Once that was completed, I created inverted stands for each half, which are a tight fit and can be removed.  For the hinge, I used the same green filament for the hinge pin and temporarily bent it over, as I may make further tweaks prior to Easter, and wanted to wait to melt the ends of the filament to secure the hinge.  Essentially, the only thing that remains of the original is the external Minecraft pattern in the shape of an egg. Reccareid did a fantastic job of making this radically changed version, and it would not have been possible if Reccareid had not done so.  Rebeccareid, thank you very much for what you created; it gave me a terrific start to what I wanted to create.
