An ergonomic, 3D-printed cup carrier designed with a focus on maximum stability, simplicity, and accessibility.
While the "centripetal force" principle is well-known, most existing models are either too flimsy or rely on small, breakable parts. I designed this version from scratch to be robust, easy to use, and safe for everyone.
Why is this version better?
- The Power of the Ball: Instead of a thin loop or a hard-to-grip handle, I added a spherical grip. This is a game-changer for people with reduced motor skills, arthritis, or for anyone carrying a hot drink in a shaky environment. It fits perfectly in the palm.
- Zero Small Parts: Designed specifically for use in daycare centers and nursing homes. There are no screws, no clips, and no tiny bits that can fall off.
- Print-Optimized Geometry: The curve is engineered to be strong enough to hold a full mug while remaining balanced during movement.
- Field Tested: Successfully tested with everything from standard coffee mugs to traditional "slivovice" shot glasses!
Tip: For maximum safety, I recommend gluing a small piece of anti-slip rubber or cork into the base. This prevents the cup from sliding during sudden stops.
