This is a combination lock disguised as a clock. When you turn the hands to a certain time, the secret compartment will unlock as if by magic. It has an ornate antique design, subtle and elegant. (It's not a working clock)

Printing Tips

• Do not scale the model or change geometry! The tolerances are finely tuned.
• AMS is used for cosmetic purposes but is not required
• PLA is recommended, I used a combination of Bambu and Panchroma filaments.

Assembly/how to use

• After printing, first insert the black tabs into the clock face like so. Make sure they are pressed all the way in and line up with each other

• 

• Then, choose the combination for your clock by matching each tooth wheel to an indent on each gear. The gears are labeled S,M,H to indicate which they represent. For example, the second gear in this image is set to 39:

  

• Next, arrange the gears over the central peg. Slide in the compartment, as shown, as well as the bolt (in black above the compartment). Get a feel for how it locks and unlocks. Set the bolt to the unlocked position (inside the gears) so you can complete the next steps.
• Lay the clock face on top. You will see that you can remove it when the clock is unlocked, and cannot when it is locked.
• Insert the hands so they correspond with the time you set (facing the 15 on m/s gears, 3 for the hour gear).
• Finally, lock the clock. If the bolt ever gets stuck, make sure the black tabs in the face are all the way inserted and even. I also found that holding the clock so gravity pulls the bolt unlocked helps. To remove the face, unlock the clock and remove the compartment and hands.
