I created this macropad out of necessity. I wanted something compact, stylish and functional. 

This macropad has 12 hot swappable Gateron low profile switches. 

The front of the macropad has 3 LEDs which are used for layer indication. Without using layers, you have 12 keys. With layers you now have 33 keys! 

Building your own:

Before you start, be aware, this project requires soldering and creating a hand-wired key matrix. So, some soldering skills are needed. 

Below you will find an Assembly document containing all the information you need to create your own macropad. This includes an overview of the required parts, the wiring diagram, assembly instructions and instructions to flash the QMK/VIA firmware. It is an instructional but not a full tutorial on how to solder the hand wired key matrix.

Additionally, in the attached ZIP file you will find the .hex file for compiling the macropad in QMK toolbox as well as a .json file for assigning keys using VIA. 

Configuring Keys:

This macropad runs QMK and supports VIA, making it easy to adjust key allocations from your browser. More details can be found in the assembly guide.
